BNC A-Level Program

The A’ Level Academic Admission requirements for AS’ Level are 5 credits at IGCSE or its equivalent, which must include English and Mathematics. The following subjects are offered at A’ Level;The British Curriculum A-Level Program is accredited by two Examination Bodies: Pearson Edexcel International Examinations with qualification international Advanced Level (IAL) and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) with qualification Cambridge International GCE AS & A-Level.

A. Pearson Edexcel – IAL

Accounting, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Economics, English Language, English Literature,  Mathematics & Physics.

B. Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE)

Computer Science, Geography, Global Perspectives and Research, History, Information Technology, Law, Psychology & Sociology.

Students choose any 4 subjects from the above 16 subjects in Year 12. The student may continue with the 4 subjects in Year 13 or drop one.

  • International A’level course take two years to complete and
    examinations are taken at the end of that period.
  • Admission requirements for AS’ Level are 5 credits at IGCSE or its equivalent, which must include English and Mathematics. Students choose any 4 (FOUR) subjects in Year 12.
  • Examination sessions are held in May/June and January (re-sits) each year.
  • Subjects are graded A through to E – grade A is awarded for the highest level of
    performance, grade E for the lowest.
  • The Institution is a registered Centre for ACT and SAT.

BTEC Level 3 Diploma

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma qualifications offered are:

The qualifications of the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma offered at Senior High are in the following areas:

Art & Design, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Sport.

  • These are two years programs that are equivalent to three A-Levels and are an alternative functional pathway to university.
  •  Assessment is undertaken through Internal Project Work that is then externally verified by Pearson.
  • Students with an IGCSE qualification or BTEC Level 2 are eligible to enrol for these programs.

Under both programs, The syllabus is accompanied by a resource list with full details of books and other materials that may be useful in the classroom. Teachers are provided with a range of resources and support materials to equip them with the skills they need to teach International AS and A Level subjects. These include Online support, Textbooks, and other classroom Materials, Teacher training, Professional Development Qualifications.
